We want you to experience our concert in December already knowing a bit about us the music we're performing!
Hey! My name is Katherine (Katie) Lerner Lee and I’m sharing the role of soprano on our concert with the lovely @montanaautumn 💕Originally from Brooklyn, I’ve loved my time in the Hudson Valley, while being at Bard for the past year, and getting to present music in the Hudson Valley community is always a major thrill.
I’m most excited to share this concert because of the various forms of collaboration it showcases. I connect with my friends and family most deeply through sharing and partaking in musical experiences, so it is a great honor and joy to have grown so close with my colleagues through this musical journey. I hope you will come hear us in solo and ensemble works, sharing space together next weekend!
My name is Jonathan Lawlor and I am a second year in the Vocal Artist Program at Bard Conservatory. As a musician who loves all genres of classical music I am so excited by the variety of music we get to show all of you in this recital!
What I find so important about this program is the representation of different music and cultures. From the Chinese representation to Yiddish and German settings, it is important for us to show that all different people belong here and that is best shown by our equal representation of these cultures. All these people belong here and this recital asks you to consider a society where different people are equally represented. 📸 @terenia_kuz💕
