shades of American identity

About the concert...
The program of Let it be forgotten wrestles with the “American Identity” and explores our relationship to it as citizens and non-citizens, alike. Through lifting up the music of American composers of Asian, Black, Jewish and traditionally ‘White’ ethnicities, we put into conversation our diverse experiences of being ‘American’ and ask ourselves what we have left behind to get here and what collective 'American' identity we are actively trying to preserve.
We hope you will join us for an afternoon of vocal and chamber music, reflecting on this country's rich history of immigration!
